Anyways, eBay lets you key in a search string that automatically notifies you when your particular gi or MMA DVD or other grappling arts weapons are available. Not only that, but you can create some really freakin’ insane search queries that deliver ORs as well as ANDs. Here’s how.

First, sign up for free at eBay. Let’s say that you want to find all the Brazilian Kimonos and/or Gi s that come up for bid. You know that basically the same item is called a Gi in Judo, right?

So you want to find every gi OR kimono that is tied to BJJ OR Judo OR Jiu Jitsu OR MMA.

Right?

Here’s what you search for:

• (bjj,judo,jiu jitsu) (gi,kimono)

Notice the parentheses - that gives us the OR construct.

Once you’ve searched, you’ll see a link called ‘Save This Search’ - click on it and you’ll see a popup that lets you name and save the search. Once you do that, every time a new item shows up that meets your criteria, you’ll be notified via email.

Who knows, perhaps that new Lucky Gi will be yours in the future.
